What time I am afraid

What time I am afraid

“What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.”

(Psalm 56:3)

“What time” is more literally translated to “what day” I am afraid. But the corner stone of the verse is resting on the word trust. Do we have full trust and confidence in God? A good indicator on whether we do or not is if we go to Him first when we are afraid or overwhelmed. Is God our first resort or is he our last resort when we are frightened or in some type of adverse situation? Action equals value and first action shows greatest value. So who (or what) do we go to first when afraid?

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverb 3:5-6)

Go to God in complete trust and your fear of man will dissolve away.

“In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.” (Psalm 56:4)
