Stop the world please, I’d like to get off!

Where are we in this day and time? At what point are we in our lives? What drives us forward each day or are we just holding on for dear life? Where does God fit into all of this? Do you know Jesus?

Sometimes we just want to stop life and scream for a little bit. Life can be both overwhelming and over-pressing well beyond our ability to handle it. Stop the world please, I’d like to get off!

Stop the world

And that is precisely what we should do. Stop the world, the physical, carnal world and leave it. Run as fast as you can from the natural and go to the supernatural Lord Jesus Christ. Christ is above all things natural and supernatural.

“Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.” (Ephesians 1:21-23).

This is the Lord and Savior. He is above all powers visible and invisible, natural and supernatural. He is the master and king. This is the Lord and Savior that died on the cross for man and his sins, his troubles and woes and his iniquities and shortfalls.

More than salvation after death, Jesus is the Lord of the living. His purpose is our continued life, welfare, love, joy and peace. As the Apostle John said, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (3 John 1:2). This is the goal and purpose of salvation and a life with Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).

All we have to do is accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, confess him with our mouth and to believe on Him that He is and is able to accomplish His promise.

We are to, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:6-7)

Cast all of your troubles and concerns unto Jesus Christ. He cares and loves each of us and will take our load off our backs.

Go ahead and stop the world and join Christ in heavenly places. Accept Him as your savior and live life to its fullest. Live life eternal!!
