Just a thought. Sometimes it can be difficult to fully comprehend what Jesus Christ did to save each and every one of us. How Jesus Christ, the Son of God who is all powerful then reduced himself to the condition of mortality and subjected himself to that mortality and died.
Jesus is the ultimate power, “the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell” (Colossians 1:15-19).
Jesus is the supreme power and authority, “But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” (Philippians 2:7-8)
From creating all things, to being part of that creation and subjecting Himself to the sins and iniquities as of a mere creature amongst all of what He created. Jesus became not just part of, but subpart of His very own creation. He suffered from and for what He loved most, man. The Master of all things allowed himself to be the scourge of the earth, to suffer man and for man. He did all of this for one reason. Love. Jesus Christ loved man so much that he gave of himself so as to pay the price for sin, thus freeing man to be able to live!
Jesus Christ truly is our Lord and Savior. Only a loving and most powerful God could have done what He did for us.
