Let No Man Deceive You

Let No Man Deceive You

The Apostle Paul warned the Ephesians, “Let no man deceive you with vain words”.

Paul warned the Thessalonians, “Let no man deceive you by any means”

Apostle Peter warned, “Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God” (1 John 3:7-9)

The devil is…

The devil is he that is the author of sin. That snake, that ol’ serpent produces, constructs, forms and fashions the very deviation from God and righteousness that man emulates in his unrighteousness. The devil always has and always will miss the mark of the high calling of Jesus Christ and he always will do it purposely. It is not by mistake or misgivings that the devil has wandered off and away from uprightness and honor. It is premeditated and intentional that he violates everything righteous, everything of love, everything of God and does everything in his power to bring God’s light and creation down this dark hole of Hell he calls home.

It is for this purpose, this very reason that A) the devil desires and designs the highway to hell and B) Man’s fallen state that allows himself to be deceived by the devil to take that path that God came forth unto this earth in the form of man. God was manifested in the skin of mankind so as to engage and defeat the devil.

It is a common misconception to think that the battle is against good and evil. It is even wrong to think that the battle is between God and the devil. It isn’t; for if the devil attempted a battle with God he would lose when and how God so designed.

No, the battle is over the influence of mankind. God made man with the ability to choose. The devil advantaged this attribute by employing logic and reasoning to awaken a part of man unfamiliar to him and draw him away from the light of God.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, the spirit with the body is influenced by that body. The devil wanted man to have the ability of choice of good and evil before man was aware of the characteristics and attributes of both. The spirit was unaware of the lusts and desires of the skin. The skin was unaware of the dictates of the spirit. The devil knowing the character of both body (skin) and spirit wanted nothing more than to bring them both together knowing that in that day mankind “shalt surely die”.

God warned Adam and Eve what would happen. God always warns us first before any action. But never having to deal with the mandates of spirit and body together and never having to reckon with logic and reasoning (deceit), Adam and Eve fell for the wiles of the devil.

“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die”. (Genesis 2:17).

From that point forward God has been availing a proper choice to the spirit/body man. The choice has been a process, a learning and growing process to allow man the opportunity to reconcile the influences of the body over spirit. If the challenge was strictly spiritual then there would be no challenge at all. The devil waited for the influence of the skin to begin his battle for a reason.

Ultimately God made himself manifest in the skin to bring the supreme power into the lacking body of man. The ultimate power was now in place and position to combat Satan.  The only variable that remains that can determine the fate of a man is choice. Man still has free will. And, the devil still has the ability to reason with man and to deceive. But now, because God as Jesus Christ defeated sin in the skin and has left man with the infinite well of the Holy Spirit to draw from, man can choose to defeat the devil and his unrighteous ways.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil” (Proverbs 3:5-7).

The only reason why someone will not heed the words of Solomon from above is that they are still under the influence of Satan himself. We invite you to let go and let God. We invite you to free yourself from the fear and bondage of the devil and choose life over death. God is love and desires nothing more for you to choose life.
