“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” (Proverbs 15:3)
No matter where we are, who we are with, the time or place that we happen to be in the Lord is always in everyplace observing both the evil and the good. God also, “is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
Man fails to realize that God sees and knows everything simply because man doesn’t see an immediate reaction from God for the good or bad that he does. When man sees no reaction to his action he generally continues on along the same path, unfettered and self-justified.
“Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” (Hebrews 4:13)
The evil man will continue in his was. What he perceives as a lack of response from God to his devilish deeds act as an encouragement for him to continue. Unfortunately for him that all things are seen and all sins are aggregated.
“For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings. His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.” (Proverbs 5:21-23)
The man of God knows he has never left the sight of the Lord and is in awe over the matter.
“O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.” (Psalm 139:1-6)
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. Realizing that God is watching and is preparing our fate based on what he sees, do you think this would give cause to change our lifestyle?
