The speech Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made to Congress yesterday (March 3, 2015) was in of itself a show of manhood and national pride. Netanyahu came not to the epicenter of freedom and strength but to its very hypocenter. He came to another land, in front of another government and spoke humbly and straightforward with the truth as best as he knew it about his homeland and the threat to it and to the world. He came to the United States of America on behalf of Israel to speak of the world at hand.
Netanyahu also came as a man of God, representing God’s chosen people and their struggle for peace and survival.
Netanyahu did not mince words. He did not speak in veiled terms or deliver a clever message with heavy overtones and innuendoes that the US politician and media have grown accustomed to; nor was his speech biting or scathing. In short Benjamin Netanyahu spoke as a man of God, a soldier, a patriot and not as an academic, a politician or of the privileged intelligentsia. This is why it was most insulting to this administration as witnessed by Nancy Pelosi’s tantrum immediately after his speech. Pelosi interpreted Netanyahu’s blunt, plain and clear speech and demeanor as “condescending” and stormed out of the House Chambers in tears of rage and hatred.
Yahoo News details her antics.
“At one point, when Netanyahu suggested his nation’s relationship with the United States should be above politics, Pelosi looked at her lap and shook her head. When he declared that, “if Israel has to stand alone, Israel will stand,” Pelosi threw her hands up in exasperation. More than once, she turned to her deputy, Rep. Steny Hoyer of Maryland, and appeared to vent. And even before Netanyahu had begun his ascent up the center aisle toward the exit, Pelosi pivoted and headed out a different door and into the Democratic cloakroom.
“I was near tears throughout the prime minister’s speech — saddened by the insult to the intelligence of the United States,” she fumed in a statement afterward, adding that she didn’t appreciate “the condescension toward our knowledge of the threat posed by Iran and our broader commitment to preventing nuclear proliferation.” H/T Yahoo News.
Benjamin Netanyahu represents Israel; God’s chosen people as well as Jerusalem the focal point of the Jewish, Christian and Muslim religion. He is a man of God who knows his homeland battle is a spiritual battle being played out right now in present time. Netanyahu knows his role as Prime Minister of Israel is one guided by the hand of God.
In 2013 when Netanyahu addressed the United Nations he quoted the Bible, both Old and New Testament some five times. In one of the more significant quotes the Prime Minister made, made it clear that the Jewish people are at home in Israel, willing to defend against the ever growing threat of a nuclear Muslim Iran who have sworn to annihilate all of the Jewish people. The quote came from Amos 9:15.
“I will plant them upon their soil never to be uprooted again”
“Quoting from the Prophet Amos in English and then in Hebrew, Netanyahu made it clear to all who are listening that no threat, nuclear or otherwise, will remove Israel from the Land. For the Lord Himself has established His people here”. H/T Israel Today
The US president does not represent a nation of God such as Benjamin Netanyahu but rather a nation of people, a nation that has cried out, “we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles” (1 Samuel 8:20).
We have a nation of people, a nation that eyes race, borders and personal benefit. It abides by its own philosophy and precepts, a theatre of the mind, where gravity works when and how they want it to. A nation now based upon the wants and desires of man, not God. The United States is a nation and peoples who, “having swerved” and “turned aside unto vain jangling”, “understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm” (1 Timothy 1:6-7).
Netanyahu is of God. He knows, believes, follows and practices God and His word. This has become alien to the United States of America. God’s word and His people are offensive to those not of God. Iran and all of the surrounding Muslim countries that call Israel the Little Satan and the US the Great Satan are an example.
Another example of how people are offended by God’s word and God’s people was shown by the Obama/Biden treatment of Netanyahu (a no show in protest) and the above mentioned tantrum by Pelosi.
If God was first, as opposed to politics and hate, then the most important precept and principle of God would have been on display by our nations top administers.
“And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these” Mark 12:29-31).
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was not feeling much love from the President, his cabinet, top Democratic leaders or from the American media.
Darkness cannot comprehend the light. It never has nor will it ever. Darkness will try to overshadow light and consume it.
“He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes” (1 John 2:9-11).
Netanyahu came to shed the light of reality of the threat to Israel and the world to the American people and to gain a worldwide stage for this message. Light and reality will offend the dark and the academically impaired. God offends the devil.
But Netanyahu boldly walked through the valley of the shadow of death, of the ominous dark in faith of God to deliver his message in a strange land for the welfare of the world.
It is time for everyone to open their eyes to God and the light. The reality of the situation is not Netanyahu but the growing beast of the Middle East which is about to, if not already, to be armed with a nuclear bomb. Its intended victim is not just Israel, but the entire world!
Politicians and pontificators may consider the beast of the Middle East a “JV” team, but annihilation and domination have been their goal and purpose for thousands of years.
It is time for everyone to watch and awake out of their slumber. We are in the midst of a spiritual battle. Understand what Netanyahu was saying during his speech to the US congress.
From Netanyahu’s speech:
“But Iran’s regime is not merely a Jewish problem, any more than the Nazi regime was merely a Jewish problem. The 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazis were but a fraction of the 60 million people killed in World War II. So, too, Iran’s regime poses a grave threat, not only to Israel, but also the peace of the entire world. To understand just how dangerous Iran would be with nuclear weapons, we must fully understand the nature of the regime”.
“I’m standing here in Washington, D.C. and the difference is so stark. America’s founding document promises life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Iran’s founding document pledges death, tyranny, and the pursuit of jihad. And as states are collapsing across the Middle East, Iran is charging into the void to do just that”.
“Iran and ISIS are competing for the crown of militant Islam. One calls itself the Islamic Republic. The other calls itself the Islamic State. Both want to impose a militant Islamic empire first on the region and then on the entire world. They just disagree among themselves who will be the ruler of that empire”. “In this deadly game of thrones, there’s no place for America or for Israel, no peace for Christians, Jews or Muslims who don’t share the Islamist medieval creed, no rights for women, no freedom for anyone. So when it comes to Iran and ISIS, the enemy of your enemy is your enemy”. “The difference is that ISIS is armed with butcher knives, captured weapons and YouTube, whereas Iran could soon be armed with intercontinental ballistic missiles and nuclear bombs. We must always remember — I’ll say it one more time — the greatest dangers facing our world is the marriage of militant Islam with nuclear weapons. To defeat ISIS and let Iran get nuclear weapons would be to win the battle, but lose the war. We can’t let that happen”.
It is a spiritual battle, a holy war. Good and God against evil and the Devil. The United States of America must awaken to this fact and open its eyes to the reality of the situation. A nuclear Iran is nothing more than nuclear Muslims with the stated and intended goal to wipe out all Jews and Christians and take control of the world.
This is a holy war without borders. It is a spiritual battle without nations or even politics. It is the war being waged by the devil against God’s chosen people and the generation that has responded to God’s gospel message.
Wake up world to the reality of the situation! Listen to what Netanyahu said!
