Duck Dynasty Phil Robertson Why Country Needs More Jesus

Duck Dynasty’s Duck Commander Phil Robertson spoke to the Saddleback Church last July, 2013. Robertson’s message was described as “really simple”. It was also described as beautiful, fantastic and simply “awesome”.

The message? It too was simple, “People need to love God and love each other”.

phil robertsonYep-That sounds like Phil Robertson!

He starts off his presentation talking about how he received a telephone call from a guy in Alabama who wanted to place an order for some duck calls. While placing the order the caller used the Lord’s name in vain five times. Robertson asks the guy why he would take the Lord’s name in vain seeing as how he is the only one who could save him. The caller shows up to Robertson’s house a week later. You have to hear Robertson tell it, but a miracle happens 17 years later.

Below is an excerpt after the duck call phone call. Phil Robertson “warms up” the congregation at Saddleback with a brief history lesson.

(7:14) The belief in God all-powerful wise and good is so essential to the moral order of the worlds and to the happiness of man. James Madison, the writer of your constitution said that.

I should be pained to believe that the citizens of America failed to consider the omnipotence of that God who is alone able to protect them. I’m going to be pained to find out if they don’t rely on God. George Washington. The father of the United States of America. I know everything I need to know about George Washington by the one statement. Just read what they said.

I’m just giving you a little history lesson to warm you up a little.

Watch this very powerful video presentation below. It is classic Phil Robertson!

I tried watching this show, but his wife take’s the Lord’s name in vain several times.  I’d rather listen to secular curse words than that.  I’m glad he stands up against it.  I wish his wife would join him and he’d have more viewers :)
