By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted

“By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.” (Proverbs 11:11)

The upright or the children of God. It is those who walk in His light always and worship and exalt Jesus as Lord and Savior. The upright are those who desire God’s way and none other, who strive to please his creator in any way humanly and supernaturally possible.

When the upright bless, God will honor it.

“The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.” (Psalms 34:15-17).

When the upright say things like, “God Bless America” it is more than just a saying or desire. It is a blessing that God will fulfill. But as times change and there are fewer children of God the effect of that blessing diminishes. The wicked increase and with the power of the spoken word destroy and diminish the state. America can and will lose its Godly blessings by the words, actions and sentiment of its citizens.

Spirit filled words always carry with them action. The words are the result of the spirit within. All spirits be they good or bad will be made manifest. Words come from the spirit within and produce actions and results when spoken. The spirit of hate produces words of hate and actions of hate. It provokes God and influences men out of the way of God.

The spirit of love, joy, peace-The Holy Spirit, will produce Holy love, joy and peace.

The upright uplift the state. The wicked destroy it.

A king wrote this proverb. In fact this king was the smartest and richest the world had seen. Solomon was his name. He knew that it was only the Godly that blessed and exalted the state. It is something for us to remember today.
